From poisoning and injuring marine life to the ubiquitous presence of plastics in our food to disrupting human hormones and causing major life-threatening diseases and early puberty, the exponential growth of plastics is threatening our planet’s survival. -Earth Day Network
On this Earth Day, join me in assessing something as simple as plastic use and waste. I know I have a long way to go in eliminating the majority of plastic in my life, but I'm starting to understand how very important it is to at least start, to start to make all the small changes that have big impacts.
These are some super easy things that you can use to replace plastic products in your kitchen! The next time you meal prep, grocery shop, or clean out the kitchen, take inventory of the plastic present and see where you can slip some of these products in instead. Purchase replacements one at a time if needed, but know that buying these things one time is far more beneficial for you financially than buying plastics often. As well, whether or not you physically feel any changes, your body and your hormones will thank you!
